TOM GRIFFITHS IS A TELEVISION AND FILM STUDIES STUDENT

 

I'm a student who fell in love with film from an early age, having a household with an Autistic brother consisted of towers of VHS tapes being piled around my home, so I had an entire libary of motion picture to endulge myself into whilst growing up. I originally wanted to become an actor back when I was younger however as I've grown older I've developed more of an interest in working behind the camera and seeing it come to life.

I studied performing arts for numerous years before eventually moving onto media studies, I earned my AS Level Media before enrolling at Coleg Cambria in North Wales to pursue media more in the form that I love, that being media on the screen. I am developing my roles in writing, directing, lighting, editing and camerawork - open to developing my experience by helping others achieve what they want however I want to be somebody who can translate my mind onto a screen and make people laugh, smile, cry... feel. That is what I aim to achieve in the future.

 

I am currently working on my first independant film, it's a documentary called "Autism: A Curious of the Human Mind" and it follows my journey into discovering more about my brothers condition and meeting people on the autistic spectrum to hear about their experiences and feelings on the subject. That's planned to be completed this summer and then I will be submitting it into film festivals!
